Riff is a Chrome extension for X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. It replies to posts, answers your DMs, and now writes your own posts and first messages too. Give it your point, and Gemini Nano, the AI built into Chrome, writes it fresh for that exact post, chat or post box, right on your computer. You press send.

read
Gemini Nano reads the post, or the conversation from their side, and notes the topic, their mood, what they want and one detail worth picking up. For a post, it reads your notes.
write
A session primed with your Voice and dials writes the reply, with a different opening move every spin. In a DM it answers their latest message first and never decides a time, a price or a yes or no for you. A post gets a hook in the first line and nothing you didn't give it: no invented results, numbers or clients.
check
The draft has to fit the limit, skip your Never say list and read as new next to your pasted point and your last 60 replies. Posts are checked against your recent posts, and no two open the same way.
polish
Labels and em dashes come out, hashtags too unless your post asks for them, any link the model invented is removed, and your link goes where you asked.
voice
Fill in Voice once: who you are, what you offer, who it's for, how you sound, and one reply and one post you're proud of. Post for a company too? Give the brand a Voice of its own. Riff puts it behind everything it writes, and it stays on your computer.

Fair questions
Does Riff post for me?
No. Riff fills the reply, comment, message or post box and stops there. It doesn't schedule or publish anything. You read it, and you press send.
Can Riff write my own posts?
Yes. Click into a new post box on LinkedIn, X or Facebook and the panel switches to Riff a post. Drop rough notes, ask for 3 hooks if you like, and tell it what to change in plain words. Every answer is a new version you can go back to.
Does it write threads on X?
Yes. Set Thread in the post dials, or press Split into thread under a draft. Insert fills the post boxes you have open; press + on X for more boxes, then Insert again.
Can I post as my company and as myself?
Yes. Give each brand its own Voice and sample posts, then pick the brand in the post dials. A preset can carry the brand too.
Does Riff answer my DMs?
Yes: LinkedIn Messaging, Messenger on facebook.com and Instagram Direct, in each site's chat pop-ups and on its full messages page. Click into a chat's message box, or the wave button next to it, and Riff reads the conversation. Your point is optional there. When a chat is still empty, it writes the first message instead.
Will it agree to a price or a meeting for me?
No. If they ask for a time, a price or a yes or no, Riff asks a short question back or lets them suggest one. The decision stays yours.
What if I sent the last message?
Riff writes a short, friendly follow-up that gives them an easy reason to answer, without repeating what you already said.
Do I need an account or an API key?
No. Riff runs on Gemini Nano, the model built into Chrome, so there are no servers to sign up for and no keys to paste.
Does it work on other sites?
Riff reads posts on the desktop sites of X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, and chats on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Anywhere else, paste the post or message into the panel and choose which site you're writing for.
Does it work on messenger.com?
Not yet. Use Messages on facebook.com: a chat pop-up on any Facebook page, or the full page at facebook.com/messages.
Which languages can it write in?
Match the post replies in the post's own language. You can also pick English, Spanish, French, German or Japanese. Older versions of Chrome only support English, Spanish and Japanese on-device, and updating adds French and German.
Won't my replies start to sound the same?
That's what the Fresh score is for. Each spin opens a different way, avoids openings you've already used, and is checked against your last 60 replies. Posts get the same check against your recent posts, plus a list of tired openers they never start with.
Any keyboard shortcuts?
Alt+Shift+R opens Riff (Option+Shift+R on a Mac). Enter riffs, Shift+Enter adds a line, Ctrl or ⌘+Enter inserts the draft, and Esc stops a riff.
Add Riff to Chrome, open a post, a chat or a new post box on X, LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram, and press Alt+Shift+R. After a one-time model download, every riff happens on your computer.
