Riff a post: how it works

How-toNew in 0.3.0

For anyone who wants Riff to write their own posts, not only replies. New in 0.3.0 on LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Instagram.

Click into the post box, and the panel switches to Riff a post. You press Post.
  1. Open the site's new-post box and click into it: Start a post on LinkedIn, "What is happening?!" on X, "What's on your mind?" on Facebook, or Write a caption… on a new Instagram post. The switch at the top of Compose, Riff a reply | post, flips to post by itself, and the note next to it reads New post on LinkedIn.
  2. Or click the small Riff button in the corner of the post box (Riff a post in this box), or flip the switch to post yourself.
  3. Type rough notes in the box under the canvas, like "post about the checkout audit we finished, the three fixes, what the client said", and press Enter. The draft streams onto the canvas.
  4. Ask for changes in plain words Talk to the canvas, then click Insert into post box and press Post on the site yourself Insert the post and press Post yourself.

The header shows what you're writing, like Writing LinkedIn post. With no supported site open, a Writing for menu picks which kind of post Riff writes, and Insert copies the draft instead. Click back into a comment box or a chat and the panel goes back to reply. A first message in a new conversation works the same way Start a conversation.
