Comment on a LinkedIn post

How-to

For anyone commenting on the LinkedIn feed, a profile or a company page.

Same loop on LinkedIn: the panel reads the author's headline and fills the comment box.
  1. Click the wave button next to the post's Comment button, or click into its comment box. The panel shows Commenting on with the author's name and headline, which Riff reads for context.
  2. Add your point, or a saved one, and press Enter. Riff writes a real perspective rather than "Great post": a lesson, a specific experience or a sharp observation, in plain text with no bullet points.
  3. Click Insert into comment. Riff fills the comment box; you press LinkedIn's own button to post it.

LinkedIn comments can hold up to 1,250 characters. Riff's Short, Medium and Full lengths aim for about 160, 340 and 650. Links are allowed, at the end or woven in Link: which link, and where it goes.
