Tone, length, emoji and language
For anyone fine-tuning the reply. The Emoji switch sits next to the knobs; Tone, Length and Language open under more.
- Tone: Friendly (warm, upbeat), Witty (playful, a light touch of humor), Bold (punchy, opinionated), Empathetic (kind, supportive), Pro (polished, credible) or Casual (like texting a friend; lowercase is fine). Tone also shapes which opening moves Riff allows itself, so a joke only opens a Witty, Friendly or Casual reply.
- Length: Short, Medium or Full. The character budgets follow the site: on X about 120, 200 and 260; on LinkedIn 160, 340 and 650; in a Messenger chat 90, 200 and 420. Limits and lengths per site has them all.
- Emoji: a switch. Off means none at all, and Riff strips any that slip in. On means one or two that fit the mood, never more.
- Language: Match the post replies in the post's own language, or pick English, Spanish, French, German or Japanese. Your Default language in Voice is the fallback. Older Chrome versions run only English, Spanish and Japanese on-device; a note under the draft says when Riff had to fall back Replies come out in the wrong language.
