Format, hashtags and length
For anyone fine-tuning how a post looks. These sit under more on the pedal in Post mode.
- Format: Airy, one sentence or idea per line with white space between groups; Paragraphs, two to four short paragraphs; List, a hook line, a short dashed list and a closing line; Emoji bullets, the same list with one fitting emoji per item.
- Hashtags: Off; 1–3 at the end; or Max, the most that still reads well on the site: 5 on LinkedIn and Instagram, 3 on Facebook, 2 on X. A brand voice can list the hashtags it uses Brand voices. The No hashtags switch in Voice is for replies; in Post mode this dial decides.
- Length: Short, Medium or Long, with budgets per site in Limits and lengths per site. On LinkedIn that's about 400, 900 and 1,600 characters.
- On X: Single or Thread, a numbered thread of 3 to 7 posts Write an X post or a thread.
Long posts are the hardest thing for a small on-device model. If a Long post comes out thin, write it at Medium and build it up with plain-word changes or Add a story and Add proof Rework a post in one click.
