Install Riff and pin it

How-to

For anyone adding Riff to Chrome for the first time. It takes about two minutes, plus the one-time model download.

Add to Chrome, pin it, and the Riff icon settles into your toolbar.
  1. Open Riff on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
  2. Pin it: click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar, then the pin next to Riff. The Riff icon now stays in the toolbar.
  3. Refresh any X, LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram tab that was already open. Riff only sees pages loaded after it was installed.
  4. Click the Riff icon, or press Alt+Shift+R (Option+Shift+R on a Mac). The panel opens on the right and, the first time, offers to download Gemini Nano Download Gemini Nano.

Riff needs desktop Chrome 138 or newer, and it doesn't run on phones or tablets. Back on riffreply.com, the Add to Chrome buttons read Installed once Riff is in your Chrome.
