Open Riff three ways

How-to

For everyone. Riff lives in Chrome's side panel and follows whichever site you're on.

The toolbar icon, Alt+Shift+R or the wave button: all three open the same panel.
  • The toolbar icon. Click the Riff icon once. If you can't see it, pin it Install Riff and pin it.
  • The shortcut. Alt+Shift+R on Windows, Linux and Chromebooks; Option+Shift+R on a Mac.
  • The wave button. On X it sits in each post's action row. On LinkedIn and Facebook it's next to the post's Comment button, on Instagram next to the Like and Comment icons, and in a chat next to the message box. Click it and Riff opens with that post or conversation already picked.

Opening the site's own reply or comment box, or clicking into a chat's message box, picks the post for Riff too. If the panel shows an older post, click Re-read the post on screen, the circular arrow next to Replying to.

The first time, Chrome may want one click on the toolbar icon before the wave button can open the panel The panel didn't open from the wave button.
