Reply to a post on X
For anyone replying on x.com (twitter.com works too). The whole loop is pick, point, Enter, insert, Reply.
- Click the wave button in the post's action row, or open X's own reply box. The panel shows Replying to with the author and the post. In a thread it also reads the post above (In a thread under @…) and any quoted post (Quoting @…), and notes attached media (Includes an image).
- Give the read a second What Riff reads before it writes, then type Your point or load a saved one Write your point. The point is what you want to say; Riff rewrites it for this post.
- Press Enter. The reply streams in under Fresh take, sized for X: 280 characters, with every link counted as 23.
- Rework it if you like Rework the draft, then click Insert into reply or press Ctrl/⌘+Enter. Riff opens the reply box if it's closed and fills it.
- Read it over and press Reply on X. Riff never presses it for you.
Hashtags and em dashes are left out by default. If you reply to a comment in a thread, Riff treats that comment as the post and the one above it as context.
