The panel didn't open from the wave button

Fix
Symptom

Clicking the wave button does nothing, or the page says Click the Riff icon in your toolbar to open the panel.

One click on the toolbar icon, and the wave button opens the panel from then on.

Chrome sometimes wants one click on the extension's toolbar icon before a page is allowed to open its side panel. Click the Riff icon once, pinning it first if it's hidden behind the puzzle piece Install Riff and pin it. From then on the wave button opens the panel with the post picked.

Alt+Shift+R (Option+Shift+R on a Mac) opens the panel at any time.
